The Bergen County Historical Society (BCHS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization, founded in 1902, promotes preservation, study and appreciation of civil, political, military and the general history of the United States of America, particularly of Bergen County. Beginning in 1939, the museum collections were displayed at the Steuben House, a State Historic Site, located in historic New Bridge Landing.

The Bolger Heritage Center is located on the second floor of the Ridgewood Public Library. It is a fantastic resource for Ridgewood and the surrounding areas.
The Genealogical Society of Bergen County (GSBC), NJ is a non-profit society founded in 1973. Our purpose is to: assist those researching their family heritage; assist those who are preserving information about the families and genealogical records of the greater Bergen County area; and, to offer educational and research assistance to all those interested in genealogical research.
The New Jersey Historical Society is a state-wide, private, non-profit historical museum, library, and archives dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich and intricate political, social, cultural and economic history of New Jersey to the broadest possible audiences. Founded in 1845, we are the oldest cultural institution in the state. Through exhibitions, publications, and programming, we examine who and what we are, what it means to live and work in New Jersey, what contributes to New Jersey's distinct identity, and what are the unique contributions New Jerseyans make to the region and the country.
The Northwest Bergen HIstory Coalition is a group of historical organizations, nine of which support and manage the museums listed HERE. Each museum is unique in its exhibits; together, their historic buildings and collections of artifacts present the rich 18th and 19th century history of the area. The Glen Rock Historical & Preservation Society is proud to be a member of the History Coalition.
